To Be More Successful

To be more successful you need to develop the traits of a professional:

• Highly educated in a specific field, with specialist training and qualifications, and considerable experience in the field.
• Have specialized skills and knowledge, a master in a specific field — become recognized as an expert and a master by developing specialized skills and knowledge
• Engaged in intellectually challenging and creative work (more mental than physical).
• Engage in constant learning and improvement and moving towards mastery in your specific field — become a lifelong learner.

  

Social Media

Social media allow us to know what happens in whole the world just in a minute and we can communicate with each other quickly without spending time to receive and send a message. But they have negative effects on teenagers and I sometimes wish that tools like iPhones, laptops, Ipad, tablets hadn't been invented they’re great, incredibly useful, and fun time-killers. But the way teenagers abuse them, and turn them into mini social control rooms is frankly awful.”Now, there is a dramatic decrease in face-to-face communication, which reduces our generation’s ability to interact with others on a speaking level.

The new socially active era causes laziness because instead of running to your friends you can message them. Or instead of walking upstairs to notify the family of dinner, I can blog it. Social networking makes life so convenient that it creates laziness.

Never Give Up

 What does never giving up really mean ?? It means believing in yourself. It means a willingness to accept failure instead of perceiving failure as a negative, look at it as a chance to reset and start again refreshed. It's important to fail because it teaches you valuable life lessons–you don't always get what you want, being right doesn't mean you'll win, the heart is more important than skill, never take anything for granted, Never giving up means keep doing and doing until you have achieved your dreams or your goal. And always says "I can do it " until you do what you want.

Teaching Diploma

 This year I registered for a new major Teaching Diploma at LIU University. In this semester I choose four courses and I learned important methods in teaching from classroom management to the tools that are used to improve the teaching process. I  gained a lot of experience, especially how to manage the classroom to create an Appropriate climate and how to engage all the students in learning activities. In another hand, I learned about interesting tools, websites, games, and applications to create interesting lessons that make the lesson active and minimize the boredom in the class as well as the misbehavior from some students. In my opinion Teaching Diploma is not for taking grades but to gain more experience in the teaching process.

Science projects

I am a science teacher and I participated in many scientific projects at LIU science fair, AUB, and UNESCO. My science projects won first places most of the time here some science project I prepared: Lazer security system is an invention to protect our houses and institutions from theft. 

Smart light is a project that is used to minimize the use of electricity as well as the electric bill this light has sensors that turn on and off the light if there is a motion or not.  

Beautiful chemistry got the first place in LIU, AUB. This project is about attractive chemical reactions like Golden rain, toothpaste elephant, chameleon reaction.

Auto irrigation system is a system that is used to minimize the use of water so you can turn the water automatically if there is no water in the soil.

Covid-19

 Covid-19

In 2019 an invisible virus changed the life of the whole world in terms of economics, education, and social life which had a negative impact on the psyche of people. Especially in Lebanon besides the coronavirus, the economic situation is very difficult.

Many families around the world will be obliged to confine themselves to their homes to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and this increase the relationship between the members of the family (take breakfast, dinner -Study - watch T.V....) So the parents especially the working parents can spend more time with their children . I hope that all the ugly things will pass away and that it be a year full of optimism.

Disadvantages of online learning

 In the last post, we learned about the advantages of online learning, here some disadvantages faced by me in online learning. First is the internet connection which is the most important thing in online learning without a power connection you cannot stay motivated in engagement in learning activities.

Second the negative effects of excess screen time (can affect the vision, headache)

Third online courses require more time than on-campus classes and require a greater amount of reading and assignments than traditional classes. Finally lack of direct interaction between students and teachers.  

EDUC 561 media and technology

 

EDUC 561 is an interesting course I have learned this semester. This course is full of information and applications that are important nowadays. I have learned how to create a quiz or an exam by using a google form, how to prepare a WebQuests for the school project, and other domain in teaching. Other applications like Mentimeter, Kahoot, word wall are amazing and interesting applications. Google document, google site, and google drive all are new things I have learned. The applications we learned in this course are applicable nowadays in online teaching, So every teacher needs to learn about such applications that facilitate our works and introduce new technology. The course instructor is kind and Helpful I love the doctor and I hope to teach me another course. 

Advantages of online learning

Online learning is my first  experience in learning in all my life .online learning is just one type of “distance learning has many advantages like:

Work from anywhere, at any time.

we can participate in the class from anywhere (from school, house....)and we can review the session in the case of absence.

 More time to think before sharing: in an online environment, students can spend as much time as they want thinking about and honing their own ideas. This can lead to greater confidence and more elegant discussions.

Group communication Distance learning programs, however, foster virtual communication and allow students to work with team members via email, chat rooms, and other easy-to-use methods.

 Cost not expensive 

Although the cost of an online course can be as much or more than a traditional course, students can save money by avoiding many fees typical of campus-based education, including lab fees, commuting costs, parking, hostels, etc.
